Documents that ship with an order

Every export order ships with a Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Bill of Lading (or Air Waybill), plus a Certificate of Origin, and a Phytosanitary Certificate and Fumigation Certificate where the destination requires them. Batch moisture readings are available on request. Laboratory testing is arranged separately.

Phytosanitary and fumigation certificates are issued per shipment and cannot be produced afterwards. List them at booking.

Testing and what we do not hold

Available

  • Third-party inspection before shipment.
  • Laboratory testing of a named product against a stated standard, arranged on request and quoted separately.
  • Written statements of composition and whitening method on the quotation.

Not available

  • We do not hold a general “certified safe” or “EU-approved” certificate — no such certificate exists for loofah.
  • We do not issue compostability or biodegradability certification.
  • A test report covers the product, standard and lab named on it — not the whole range.

Plant-import rules differ by destination and change over time. Confirm the document list with your customs broker before booking.

Planning the paperwork

  1. Name the destination
Action: Tell us the country of import and the Incoterm with its named place.
Result: The right Certificate of Origin form and plant-health documents.
  2. Ask your broker
Action: Check which plant-health documents your market needs for loofah.
Result: No missing document at clearance.
  3. Book documents with the shipment
Action: List every document on the order.
Result: Certificates issued in time, not chased afterwards.

Incoterms: EXW, FCA, FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP are quoted; always name the place with the term. FCA is the correct term for an air shipment — FOB is not. DDP suits a first-time importer who would rather not handle customs, though import VAT is usually not recoverable that way; DAP suits a VAT-registered buyer.

Buyer questions

Can you send example documents from a past shipment?

Yes, on request, with customer and commercial details redacted.

Do I need a phytosanitary certificate for loofah?

It depends on the destination and its current plant-import rules. Check with your customs broker; we issue it per shipment when required.
